Rock Pile of the Summer Dwelling • NOVEMBER PRE-SALE •

from £40.00

Rock Pile of the Summer Dwelling is a handmade photobook which visually considers my understanding of love, and the small moments that receive the least prestige, but maybe deserve the most. The position of a stone to a tideline, a brushstroke-like piece of seaweed, the darkness within caves.

My work is inspired by the Japanese concept of wabi sabi, the appreciation of impermanence, simplicity and imperfection. Every copy is bound and constructed by hand. Materials have been chosen that will develop and age gracefully with time.

This theme is developed by the placement of an original handmade cyanotype photograph on the cover. Every cyanotype within the series is different: changes in exposure, temperature, and acidity, as well as variations in the coffee toning process all bring out different results in each piece. Edges soften, tones fade, creating a time worn aesthetic.

Each print is affixed to the cover without glue, ready to be framed if required.

The Special Edition comes with a hand screen printed and engraved presentation box, with inset Risograph prints.

I want the owner of each of the books to have something unique, something precious and personal, a hand crafted connection to the themes I’m portraying.

Pre-Orders will dispatch late November 2026, for EU & International orders, customs and handling charges are included in shipping costs
